our story

a 6-page zine printed on 11×17″ ledger paper
the inner pages feature text over scans of some color pages from my queer and tired sketchbook. the cover is a single black-and-white page from the same.
the idea for this zine came from wanting to be able to produce something that held some of the same feeling of uniqueness as owning an original page from a sketchbook, but could be relatively easily reproduced. the original pages will eventually run out, but selling prints felt too impersonal and static.
the final product is something that is reproducible in form, but personalized and unique in experience. it is stitched shut with yarn, so that the zine must be altered from its original state before it can be read, and the content further emphasizes other unique aspects of its reading.
as the focus is on experience, I’ve chosen not to show any full images of the inner pages – I want people to read it while they hold it in their own hands.
